Online child exploitation is a topic that can be hard to face. But if we don't acknowledge the problem, we can't begin to help solve it. The Internet is a powerful resource for our youth, but it also presents opportunities for those who would attempt to do them harm.
Apps are regularly used to target, recruit, and coerce children to engage in harmful activity.
According to different research studies, between one in five and one in 11 youth (ages 10-17) have been sexually solicited online, ranging from young children to adolescents, and hailing from all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Our presenters for this unique seminar are veteran law enforcement experts with a wealth of knowledge and first-hand experience in child exploitation and human trafficking. An additional bonus is that they are committed Lighthouse members who understand the dark spiritual side of this growing dilemma.
This informational presentation will be followed by a brief question and answer session.
So, please make plans to join us and spread the word as we equip ourselves to do our part to safeguard our children.
